Helakuru is a good solution available for people looking to type in Sinhala natively on their Android devices. This application brings support for Smart Wijesekara and Smart Phonetic keyboard layouts. Straight away, you will notice the friendly design of the UI and each time you want to change something, you can achieve this step by picking from different themes found in the built-in Theme Store.

You can also create your own designs as long as you set a custom background image and adjust the color scheme. Just as you can probably expect, this virtual keyboard has support for emojis. In terms of typing, you can input text via the classic way of tapping the keys, but you can also take advantage of the included Google Speech Recognition technology to type by voice.

This cool feature works only with English and Sinhala, and it can be activated by tapping the Microphone icon. If you like typing fast, Helakuru is capable of predicting the words as you tap the keys and you can quickly pick the right one without having to type every word completely letter by letter. New words are automatically saved on your device and you can manage them inside the Settings section.
