Phonto is a free application that lets you edit photos on your Android mobile device. The interface comes with a friendly layout and you can easily insert text in your images. You are allowed to the change the font, size, color and position of the text. Moreover, you can rotate it and change the background color. In case you don't find the included fonts pleasing, you also have the ability to download and install other font styles.

Phonto lets you create interesting and funny memes by applying text messages over images. You can change letter and line spacing to make the text easy to read. This application does not come in a big package and it should work fine even on devices with low hardware specs. Once you're pleased with the end results, you can save your works as PNG or JPG.

As a notice, keep in mind that very large photos might cause the application to crash. Inside settings you can enable Medium and Small image size. With regard to font formats, Phonto only accepts fonts that come in TTF, OTF and ZIP formats. There are a couple of good websites to download free fonts on the Internet.
