WiFi Warden is a free tool that helps you obtain more information about Wi-Fi hotspots you're connected to. All this data is available inside a basic user interface. All networks found in your area come with additional info such as SSID, MAC Address, router brand, signal level and security. For example, you can use this application to find out which channels are less crowded and you can use this data to change the channel of your router and obtain better signal quality.
Some features available inside the interface can be accessed only if your Android device is rooted. In order to view WiFi passwords for networks where you've been connected in the past, to check the WPS lock and serial number of an access point, you'll have to root your smartphone. Another good feature is the Password Maker which helps you come up with harder passwords.
In addition, WiFi Warden can be used for checking open ports of devices located in the same network as your Android smartphone or tablet.
