Checkers is a very popular board game now available even for Android mobile devices. In this game, you get to test and expand your logical thinking by either playing against the computer or by playing with one of your friends/family members. Right off the bat, you will notice the ability to choose from four different difficulty levels: easy, medium, hard, and expert.
If it's your first time playing this board game, then you should go for the easy mode to get your feet wet and understand the basic rules. After you gain some experience, you can increase the difficulty level and see how you're performing. Keep in mind that there are multiple ways to play Checkers. The International version makes capturing mandatory, and all the pieces can capture backward.
Moreover, the movement of the queen is quite long. For example, if a square is not blocked, the queen can go any distance on the diagonal. The Spanish Checkers, also known as Damas, uses the International rules except for the inability of pieces to capture backward. If you want to enjoy the US or English Draughts version, you need to know that the capturing of pieces is mandatory, but these pieces can't capture backward.
The queen also is blocked from moving long distances. Just one step is allowed. Another cool thing about this mobile board game is the ability to pick your own rules by accessing the Settings section.
