Dead Trigger 2 is the second installment in this fun survival series, where our role is to destroy as many zombies as possible. What else can you do besides helping humanity overcome this insane obstacle? Many people see a zombie apocalypse as something possible, but I don't know if that's accurate or not. I, for sure, know about the endless movies and tv shows debating this subject across countless hours of zombie ass-kicking moments. Before we get into the gameplay's details, I want to mention some of the stats available on the Google Play Store. Since its launch day, this release managed to gather more than 50 million installs, and at the same time, to maintain a very high rating. Three million people voted the game as an almost 5 out of 5 stars title. You don't see this happening very often, so you know we have something special here.
This version is a follow-up to the original release. Therefore, the plot hasn't changed. The 2012 pandemic took the whole world by surprise due to a hefty infestation rate. Many humans turned into zombies, but not only that, these monsters attack the healthy ones. Since this plague has defeated any military facility and medical advancements, the world's fate rests in our strong hands. The survivors are now a part of one of these four categories: Scientist, Medic, Engineer, Smuggler, or Gunsmith.
Our mission is to take advantage of these various team members to build a personal Hideout and survive. The gameplay takes us through 10 regions containing 33 different battlefields and a total of 600 scenarios. As you can see, there's plenty of content and challenges for us to enjoy and complete to find a cure to humanity's problem. I love how we experience many genres in one package. We get to shoot monsters as much as we want, do some role-playing, face horrific moments, and survive the plague.
All the large environments available in the game allows us to move freely towards any destination we see fit. To ensure the player faces a strong challenge, the zombies are not all the same. The Vomitron can take you down by vomiting chemicals on your body. Always watch your back for Rampagers because they are very effective with their flexible movements and large bodies. Another annoying kind of zombie is the Radioactive Scientist that sucks your blood to get stronger. Don't worry because we fight these monsters with some powerful guns, not bare hands.
At the moment, Dead Trigger 2 provides enough melee weapons to smash these creatures until they no longer get up, including swords, katanas, machetes, bats, a chainsaw, and more. Plus, we also have access to pistols, rocket launchers, rifles, submachine guns, shotguns, miniguns, and even experimental weaponry. Don't forget to plant land mines and turrets to destroy zombies in a blink of an eye. Besides enjoying the Campaign, you can also have crazy amounts of fun inside the Sniper Mode. While healthy people move across these zombie-infested environments, your role is to provide cover with your sniper rifle. Gun them down from your helicopter before they get to touch the VIPs.
