Facebook Messenger is an Android application that lets you keep in touch and communicate with your friends on a well-known social network. Just like other similar services, you have to provide the Facebook credentials for your account to use this software. Users can send and receive messages, share location, initiate file transfers, and more. It even has support for group chats, and you can customize things like nicknames and group photos.
Besides sending the regular text messages, you can communicate using video chats as well, and this feature is also supported by the group chats. Video and call chats are completely free as long as these are done using Wi-Fi. Users can take videos and photos and customize them by applying a variety of fun and artistic effects. Another interesting function is the opportunity to play games.
Inside the Settings window, you can configure the application to enable or disable notifications, use sounds, synchronize contacts, and more.
First of all, as soon as you've downloaded the Facebook Messenger APK, you need to access the Settings panel of your Android mobile device. While you are here, look after the Security section and activate the Unknown Sources feature by checking the box located next to it.
After you complete this simple step, you are allowed to install any application or mobile game compatible with your smartphone/tablet without going through additional steps.
You can always revert this security feature to its default value. Keep in mind, if your gadget uses a different language, the name of this setting will change accordingly.
